Some men beat up their wives, some men kill their wives. Starting with an extreme case of a man killing 14 women on the grounds that they had taken the place of men in society, the narrator subjectively seeks what allows, organises and justifies the violence directed against women in the western world, the patriarchy. From the image of the woman used in advertising to the physical violence, from the toys taking part in children’s learning process to the sexist injustice in the working world, a cultural continuum takes shape. Whereas the violence against women is often explained by cultural or religious differences in the third world, it is generally presented as accidental in the West. Children are still educated within gender stereotypes which perpetuates an omnipresent injustice towards women under our indifferent eyes. With a very slow evolution and numerous regressions. With the general feeling that the problem will be solved. Through various situations whether funny or terrible, following the male narrator, the film questions without taboo the world here and now, travelling in many countries (Belgium, Quebec, France), to outline the male domination only partially challenged in a society where the man struggles to find his place. Where the woman still suffers too often.
